Ashland is a woman-owned, Maryland-based vertical transportation company, a unique fusion of innovators across diverse disciplines—Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, History, Psychology, and Firefighting Science, among others. In one company Ashland traverses the entire spectrum of the elevator industry—safety training, consulting, inspections, maintenance, and project management—in order to provide more informed, ethical, cost-effective, and comprehensive services to clients. Indeed, in addition to the vertical transportation maintenance and consulting that Ashland provides the federal government, Ashland is also proud to be the first company supported by the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) to provide elevator emergency training to first responders. The Elevator Emergency Education (EEE) course is currently on offer in select international locations.

Elevator Control Service, one of the largest independently-owned and operated elevator/escalator service providers in the nation, is the premier vertical transportation contractor serving the Washington, DC, Northern VA, and Baltimore Metropolitan areas. Specializing in premium levels of preventive maintenance, quality service, modernizations, and custom installations irrespective of project size or system complexities, ELCON offers clients unparalleled industry knowledge and technical expertise.
