Ashland’s owner, Debra Clasing, signs a collective bargaining agreement with the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) at their headquarters in Columbia, Maryland, establishing Ashland as an IUEC signatory company. Formed in 1901, the IUEC represents over 25,000 members from across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, providing Ashland access to an international pool of rigorously trained elevator mechanics and inspectors on a project-by-project basis.
